What is the best time for meditation?

First of all, obviously every time is a good time to meditate. However if you want to chose the most optimal moment, what time would it be?
The best moments to meditate are at the beginning and at the end of the day. In the morning it is a good start of the day. By meditating before you start all your other activities you will start in a correct state of mind that will help you throughout the rest of the day. To give an example; if you meditate in the morning and a bit later have a stressfull moment, it is much more likely you can deal with it without losing control, become angry or too much emotional. This is because you are more strong from the inside.
Another very good moment is to end the day. If you can let everything that is not needed go before going to sleep, it will be a good preparation for a good night of rest. This is much better than go to bed with all kind of thoughts about what happened that day or will happen in the future. Every day many things will happen that influences our thoughts and meditation before going to sleep will help you in letting go of those things so that your body can properly rest. Also it gives you more awareness in your thoughts and how you can let go of them.
If we need to choose between the morning and evening, then the morning is the best moment of the day. This is because we are more aware in the morning and thus the meditation will be stronger. There is a reason that most people don’t eat a bag of chips or drink beer in the morning. In the morning there is more awareness and we are ready for the day.
Besides the two options given above, it also very efficient to meditate when you feel you need it. Sometimes we feel stressed or just not how we want to feel and meditation can bring us back in the correct state. If you want to choose one daily time for meditation then it is best to choose the morning or evening, with the morning as the best option.
